Schomberg Scarecrow Competition

Visit SchombergScarecrows.com for full details

Inspired by the "Wrenbury Scarecrow Trail" in England, the Schomberg Scarecrow Competition invites you to create a scarecrow for all to enjoy.

Your scarecrow doesn't need to scare crows, birds or anything else. As a matter of fact, it doesn't need to be a traditional scarecrow at all. We're just looking to see how creative you can be and have a bit of fun displaying the results of that creativity throughout Schomberg.

It is a competition, so there are rules, and there are prizes. You have to register your scarecrow (so we know where it is!) and they have to be in place from 10am on Saturday, September 18th until 6pm on Saturday, October 2nd.

All of the scarecrows will be judged by public ballot, and the ballot boxes and forms will be located in various locations in Schomberg. We'll post the ballot locations closer to the actual competition.

The winner will be announced at the Schomberg Community Spirit Night and Bonfire at approximately 7:00 pm on October 2nd.

For complete details about the competition, including a complete set of the rules (don't worry, they're short), descriptions of the prizes and a link to the entry form, please visit www.schombergscarecrows.com.

A complete slideshow of last year's scarecrows can be found there as well.
