A Main Street Christmas

The Schomberg Village Association would like say thank you to the many volunteers for all their hard work and efforts which made last Saturday's event one of the best we can remember. Even the snow seemed to know exactly when to fall to allow Main Street to become a magical winter wonderland for our performers and entertainers to delight the crowds once again. Thank you also to everyone who attended and the residents / businesses on Main Street who allowed us to use or have access to their properties.

A Main Street Christmas would also not be possible without the help of the local businesses, community groups and farmers; and the Mayor, Councillors and Township staff including the Library, Museum, Fire and Parks Recreation & Culture departments.

We would like to offer a special thanks to the local farming community for their work in presenting the Parade of Lights. Not everyone realizes that at this point in the year most of the farming families are only now in the process of bringing the last of their crops from the fields, and others have just completed a busy livestock show season. Even with all these other duties, these families spend valuable time and effort cleaning and decorating their equipment for the entertainment of those attending the 'A Main Street Christmas' celebration. We offer our special thanks to all the families involved.
